TULSA 73, FULLERTON 57 – Four players scored in double figures as Tulsa pulled away in the second half to defeat Cal State-Fullerton on Saturday.

Rashad Smith, James Woodward and D’Andre Wright had 12 points apiece for the Golden Hurricane (5-9) with Shaquille Harrison adding 11.

TEXAS A&M-CC 71, ORAL ROBERTS 64 – Rashawn Thomas scored 15 points Saturday and Zane Knowles added 14 and Texas A&M-Corpus Christi held off Oral Roberts.

Shawn Glover paced Oral Roberts (7-8, 1-1 Southland) with 21 points and Korey Billbury added 18.

ARKANSAS 104, UTSA 71 – Bobby Portis had 19 points on 8-of-8 shooting as Arkansas won its seventh-straight game with a win over Texas-San Antonio on Saturday night.

The winning streak equals the longest under third-year coach Mike Anderson for the Razorbacks (11-2), who open Southeastern Conference play at Texas A&M on Wednesday.

Ky Madden had 15 points for the Razorbacks, who committed a season-low seven turnovers while scoring 40 points on 28 turnovers by the Roadrunners.  Michael Qualls added 11 points off the bench.


WEST VIRGINIA 71, OSU 67 – Bria Holmes scored 21 points and West Virginia closed with a 15-2 run to beat Oklahoma State for its 13th straight victory.

Asya Bussie added 13 points for the Mountaineers (13-1, 2-0 Big 12). LaShawn Jones had 18 points for Oklahoma State (12-1, 1-1).

IOWA WESTERN 71, CONNORS 58 – Iowa Western led by Asoro Abigail’s 19 points captured a victory over Connors State Cowgirls in the Consetega Classic Saturday night.

Connors is now 3-9 on the season heading into a clash with Coffeyville Community College at 6 p.m. Monday at Melvin Self Field House. It will be the second meeting of the season between the Cowgirls and Lady Red Ravens. Coffeyville won the first encounter 93-53.

Johnesha Major led the Cowgirls’ scoring attack with 16 points, while Alyssa Jones and Lauren Godfrey scored 13 points each.

TULSA 84, VALPARAISO 70 – Four players scored in double figures to lead Tulsa to a win over Valparaiso on Saturday afternoon at the Donald W. Reynolds Center.  TU moved to 6-5 on the season, while the Crusaders fell to 2-11 overall.

Ashley Clark had a team-leading 20 points, eight rebounds and five assists, as well as four steals in 30 minutes of play.  Kelsee Grovey added 15 points, Kadan Brady came in off the bench and scored 13 and Mariah Turner tallied 12.

TEXAS A&M-CC 58, ORAL ROBERTS 53 – Oral Roberts University struggled offensively and suffered their first loss of the Southland Conference season as Texas A&M-Corpus Christi upset the Golden Eagles on Saturday at the Mabee Center.

ORU (2-10, 1-1 SLC) shot just 37.3 percent and committed 19 turnovers. Muskogee grad Alexus Wilson led ORU with 13 points, while Dorottya Balla scored 11.
