Women’s basketball

OKLAHOMA 81, KANSAS 71 – Aaryn Ellenberg scored 17 of her 19 points in the second half as Oklahoma toppled Kansas 81-71 at Allen Fieldhouse Sunday.

Morgan Hook totaled 15 points and nine assists for the Sooners (15-9, 6-5 Big 12). Nicole Griffin recorded her third double-double of the season with a 10-point, 11-rebound performance.

Nicole Kornet scored 11 points, hitting three of four 3-point attempts, to break out of a seven-game slump.

BAYLOR 81, OSU 64 – Odyssey Sims scored 33 points while making 14 of 19 shots as No. 7 Baylor clinched its 14th consecutive 20-win season with a victory over No. 12 Oklahoma State on Sunday.

Liz Donohoe had 22 points for Oklahoma State (19-4, 8-4). Tiffany Bias and Kendra Suttles each had 11 points while Brittney Martin had 14 rebounds.

Softball

NSU GETS FIRST WIN – Muskogee ex Madison Reed went 2-for-3 with two runs scored to help the RiverHawks to their first win of the season, beating Southern Nazarene 8-6 at the Tarleton State Invitational in Stephenville, Texas, on Sunday.

Earlier in the day, NSU lost to Northwestern State 4-2. In that game, Reed was 3-for-3 with one run scored and one RBI.

TAHLEQUAH GRAD DOES IT AGAIN – Former Tahlequah Lady Tiger Erica Sampson recorded the game-winning RBI, getting hit by a pitch with the bases loaded and one out in the bottom the seventh,  and Bailey Erwin tossed a complete game to lead Tulsa past Northern Illinois, 2-1, Sunday at the FAU Kick-Off Classic at FAU Softball Stadium.

OU 2, PITTSBURGH 1 – Sophomore Kelsey Stevens struck out a season-high 10 batters and walked none, while fellow sophomore Leslie Miller hit a two-run home run in the fourth inning as No. 2 Oklahoma defeated Pittsburgh at the Easton Tournament in Fullerton, Calif., to finish the weekend on a three-game winning streak.

MINNESOTA 1, OSU 0 – The Oklahoma State softball team dropped the final game of the Tiger Classic in Baton Rouge, La., on Sunday, falling 1-0 to Minnesota.

BAYLOR 5, ARKANSAS 0 – The Razorbacks were held to two hits in the loss to Baylor in Arkansas’ final game of the Sportco Kick-Off Classic in Las Vegas, Nev.
