CROWDER 5, CONNORS STATE 2— The NJCAA top-ranked Cowboys (32-5) were held to four hits and squandered a 2-1 advantage through four innings in a non-conference battle in Neosho, Mo. Jake Borrego had two of Connors’ hits and Connor Garcia (2-1) took the loss, going 4 2/3 innings, scattering six hits and striking out seven.

ORAL ROBERTS 2, OU 0 – Pepe Gomez allowed four hits in five innings as Oral Roberts shut out Oklahoma in Norman on Tuesday. Tyler Boss was the lone Golden Eagle with multiple hits as he finished with two, including a double while Logan Domenico picked up a double and Audie Afenir added a single for ORU’s fourth hit.

Taking the loss for the Sooners was Robert Tasin (3-3) who went 3 1/3 innings, allowing both Golden Eagle runs on three hits.

OKLAHOMA STATE 7, ARKANSAS -LITTLE ROCK 6 — Garrett Williams racked up 10 strikeouts, the most by an Cowboys pitcher this season, and allowed just two earned runs in six innings of work as OSU (23-10) won its sixth straight non-Big 12 tilt and its 14th come-from-behind win

Donnie Walton collected half of the Cowboys’ six hits going 3-for-3 with a solo home run, his second of the year. A four-run third gave OSU a 5-4 edge, one it would not relinquish. The Cowboys are 8-0 in one-run games. UALR is 13-17.

Softball

CONNORS-SEMINOLE POSTPONED – Tuesday’s game between Connors State and Seminole State was postponed because of wet grounds. The two schools will play a doubleheader today at Seminole with the first game beginning at 2 p.m.

SOONERS SWEEP SHOCKERS – Oklahoma pushed its season-best winning streak to 12 games behind a doubleheader sweep of Wichita State, 3-0 and 9-1 on Tuesday in Norman.

OU took game one, 3-0, then run-ruled the Shockers in five innings in game two, 9-1. All the runs in game one occurred in the third inning on a two-run double by Brittany Williams and a bases-loaded walk by Lauren chamberlain. Game two saw Javen Henson go 2-for-2 and drive in four runs, hitting a three-run homer in the second and adding an RBI single in the third inning.
