Pokes the pick to win Big 12

IRVING, Texas – For the first time in the history of the Big 12 Conference, the Oklahoma State Cowboys are the preseason favorites to win the league’s football championship.

OSU tops the preseason media poll announced today by the conference office. The Cowboys garnered a league-high 15 first-place votes and earned 365 points to outdistance Oklahoma’s 355 points.

OSU’s previous best in the preseason voting came in 1998 when the Cowboys were tabbed for second in the Big 12 South.
