BACONE SWEEPS — On the road, Tim Hill (4-0) gave up one hit, a leadoff single in the fourth and Erik Folkers drives in three runs to lead the offense as Bacone beat Huston-Tillotson 7-0. The Warriors completed the sweep with a 20-hit performance, winning 14-3. Johathan Villela was 4-for-5 and Jean Carlos Martinez 3-for-4.

OSU WINS PAIR — The Cowboys’ Zach Fish singled in the winning run as OSU rallied in game one to win 6-5 but lost the second game 10-6. OSU is 11-3 on the year. Brendan McCurry threw 1 1/3 innings of relief to get the win, allowing one hit.

OKLAHOMA SWEEPS — The University of Oklahoma baseball team totaled 19 hits for 16 runs in game one and rallied for six in the eighth inning of game two to erase a four-run deficit as it swept a doubleheader with Rutgers at L. Dale Mitchell Park, Friday evening. The Sooners won by scores of 16-11 and 7-5 to improve to 11-4 on the season, while the Scarlet Knights dropped to 3-8.

Softball

MARRIOTT TOURNAMENT IN NORMAN —  Oklahoma tied a record with six home runs in an 18-3 win over Liberty then beat Western Illinois 9-1. In the opener, Lauren Chamberlain enjoyed her 13th career multi-home run game, while Shelby Pendley had the 10th game in her career with two home runs. Chamberlain finished 3-4 with four runs scored and four RBI. Pendley was 3-5 with three runs scored and three RBI. Lauren Chamberlain hit her fifth home run of th season in the second game.

Tulsa beat Liberty 23-1 and Western Illinois 7-3. Senior shortstop Jill Barrett went 6-for-8 Friday and scored three runs. She hit safely in her first three at bats of the first game, extending her streak to 11 consecutive at bats with a hit. That is the third-longest such streak in NCAA history and longest in Tulsa and Conference USA history. The 23 runs is also a school record.

OSU WINS PAIR — The Cowgirls (13-7) opened the Mizuno Classic with a pair of wins Friday, knocking off Drake, 2-0, in its first game as Whitney Whitehorn tossed a two-hit shutout. and ending the day with a 5-4 victory over No. 17 Minnesota. In the upset win, Shelby Davis went 2-for-4 with an RBI and Gessenia DeLaCruz went 2-for-2
