OU 11, KANSAS ST. 2 – The Sooners pounded out 15 hits in a win over Kansas State in Norman on Saturday. The Sooners improved to 18-6 overall and 2-0 in the Big 12, while the Wildcats dropped to 13-9 and 0-2.

NSU 12, LINCOLN 2 – Northeastern State rolled to a  run-rule victory in eight innings over Lincoln on Saturday in Tahlequah. Kyle Singleton and Cody Robinson led NSU with two hits each. Preston Cash entered as a pinch runner and was 1-for-1 with two RBI and two runs scored while Fabio Arcelay hit a pinch-hit home run in the seventh.

ARKANSAS 2, ALABAMA 1 – Arkansas (12-8, 2-3 SEC) used some late-game heroics to send the Razorbacks to a victory over Alabama (15-7, 3-2) on Saturday. Trailing 1-0 in the seventh inning with two outs and the bases empty, Arkansas came to life at the plate with three consecutive singles, capped by an RBI single from Michael Bernal to knot the score 1-1. In the fighth inning, Eric Fisher brought in Brian Anderson with the eventual game-winning run.

MCNEESE ST. 5, ORU 1 – Offensive struggles bit the Oral Roberts University baseball team on Saturday as the Golden Eagles dropped the series finale at McNeese State. ORU fell to 10-12 overall this season and 2-4 in Southland Conference play, while the Cowboys moved to 14-8 and 4-2 in league action.

BAYLOR 4, LSU 1 – Oklahoma State suffered a defeat at the hands of Baylor by the identical score as the Cowboys’ loss to the Bears on Friday. The loss was the 10th in a row in Waco for the Cowboys, who fell to 15-8 overall and 0-2 in Big 12 Conference play.


OU 2, LSU 1 – Junior Shelby Pendley hit the game-tying home run in the sixth inning and then delivered the walk-off single in the bottom of the seventh as Oklahoma (20-8) came back to defeat LSU (19-11) on Saturday.

Oklahoma was held hitless until the sixth inning when Pendley hit her team-leading ninth home run of the season to tie the game at 1-1. The homer was No. 50 of her career and it also marked the third time this season that she had broken up a no-hitter in the sixth inning or later.

TULSA SWEEPS CHARLOTTE – The University of Tulsa softball team gave up two hits in 12 innings and shortstop Jill Barrett went 4-for-6 with five RBIs and three runs scored in two games as Tulsa (27-3, 5-0 C-USA) took both ends of a doubleheader, 7-0 and 9-0, over Charlotte (10-14, 2-6 C-USA) on Saturday.

NSU SPLITS WITH UNK – Northeastern State split its doubleheader with Nebraska-Kearney on Saturday, taking the first game 10-2 while falling in the nightcap 9-6.

In the first game, Muskogee grad Madison Reed scored a run in the third inning. Game two saw Sequoyah ex Saharra Henson go 2-for-3 with three RBIs and one run scored.
