CONNORS 3-5, SEMINOLE 2-2 —Pitchers Daniel Concepcion, Kelvin Rivasa and Justin Farrell combined to strike out 18 batters in the twinbill sweep while holding Seminole to nine hits to improve to 34-4 for the season and 7-1 in Oklahoma Collegiate Athletic Conference action.

Concepcion (6-0) struck out six and Rivas struck out 12 before being relieved by Farrell. Victor Claudio singled home Chance Suggs in the first game and then Claudio singled home Yariel Gonzalez in the second game.

In the second game, Eric Kirkpatrick doubled home Claudio to pad the Cowboys’ lead to 4-2.

OU 3, BAYLOR 1— Dillon Overton struck out eight batters and scattered six hits as the Sooners (28-7, 8-3 Big 12) rallied for three runs in the seventh and ninth inning to beat the Bears (18-17, 6-4)

OSU 4, TCU 1 —Randy McCurry’s RBI single in the sixth inning was the big hit in a three-run inning as the Cowboys (24-9, 5-5 Big 12). McCurry and Trey Whaley each had two hits in the game.

SE LOUISIANA 4, ORU 3 — Nate Goro’s bases-loaded double in the first inning as the Titans fell to the Lions in Southland Conference action in Tulsa. SLU took the lead after Alex Marsh scored after two ORU errors.

NSU 9-8, FORT HAYS STATE 4-19 — A five-run fourth in the opener helped NSU (20-17, 20-17 MIAA)  to a split at Tahlequah against the Tigers (21-16, 17-5). In the win, Kyle Singleton was 3-for-3 at the plate with three RBIs, including a two-run home run in the third inning. Jordan Dallalio hit a two-run homer in the fourth, which marked the fourth-straight game he went yard. Craig George (5-3) allowed four runs on 10 hits and threw 6 innings.

In the second game, Fort Hays State plated runs in seven of the nine innings and totaled 14 runs in the final five frames after NSU tied the score at 5-5 after four. r Frank (2-4) allowed one unearned run in middle relief, which cost him the decision. Cody Ronbins blasted his D-II leading 15th home run of the season for the RiverHawks.

BACONE 22-19, TEXAS COLLEGE 1-9 — The Warriors (31-11, 19-3 RRAC) totaled 41 runs on 36 hits, 22 in the second game as Anthony Villela was 5-for-6 with three RBIs, Anthony Seabolt was 2-for-5 with four RBIs.and Peter Rodriguez slapped a solo-shot home run. Kydani Ortiz (3-1) gave up three hits in five innings for the sweep clincher.

Villela was 3-for-6 and drove in five runs in the third inning of the opener after the Warriors had struck out five times over the first two innings and trailed at that point, 1-0. Enrique Meza was 3-for-4 with three RBIs, Tony Mendez was 3-for-5 and Kyle Pietryga was 2-for-2 including his second home run, a two-run shot. Adam Huizar (7-1) threw six innings, scattering seven hits.

ARKANSAS 8, LSU 3 — Ryne Stanke threw 6 2/3 shutout innings and Jake Wise homered and drove in a career-high four runs as No. 10 Arkansas (25-11, 9-5) beat No. 2 LSU (33-3, 12-2) in Fayetteville, Ark.
