Baseball

BACONE 4, TEXAS WESLEYAN 0 – Eric Aguillard and Matt Durbin combined on an 8-hit shutout with Aguillard getting the win and Durbin recording the save as the Warriors improved to 10-7 on the season.

NSU 11-12, TRUMAN ST. 4-7 – The RiverHawks (5-3) pounded out 21 hits in sweeping the doubleheader from Truman State on Sunday.

OU 10, NEW MEXICO 8 – Oklahoma’s Jack Mayfield crushed a three-run home run over the left field wall in the bottom of the eighth inning to push the Sooners (9-0) past New Mexico on Sunday to win the 2013 Kleberg Bank College Classic in Corpus Christi, Texas.

ARKANSAS 10, EVANSVILLE 2 – The Arkansas offense pounded out a season-high 15 hits and scored 10 runs as the No. 1 Razorbacks completed a three-game sweep of Evansville to run their record to 7-1 while Evansville dropped to 1-5 with the loss.

OSU 5, NJIT 2 – Brendan McCurry’s two-run home run in the bottom of the sixth inning snapped a 2-2 tie, and Randy McCurry notched his first save of the season as the Cowboys improved to 7-1 on the year.

ORU 9, LA. TECH 3 –  Graham McIntyre led Oral Roberts (4-3) to victory with three hits, including a double, three runs batted in and a run scored in the rubber match of a three-game set at Louisiana Tech on Sunday.

Softball

TEXAS 1, TULSA 0 – Texas scored a run in the bottom of the eighth on the international tie-breaker to beat Tulsa (11-4) and win the Texas Invitational in Austin, Texas, on Sunday.

NSU DOWNS BACONE, WILLIAM JEWELL – The RiverHawks improved to 5-3 on the year with a 13-5 win over William Jewell and a 10-2 victory over Bacone with Sequoyah ex Saharra Henson scoring three times and driving in a run.

WILLIAM JEWELL 9, BACONE 0 – William Jewell scored twice in the first, once in the fourth, four times in the sixth and twice in the seventh in blanking Bacone in Tahlequah on Sunday.

ARKANSAS FINISHED THIRD – The University of Arkansas softball team fell to the Louisiana-Monroe Warhawks, 7-6 in eight innings and defeated Saint Louis University by a score of 8-0 in six innings at Bogle Park Sunday to finish third in the Arkansas Invitational.

Women’s basketball

TENNESSEE 60, ARKANSAS 54 – Quistelle Williams dropped in 15 points leading the University of Arkansas (17-10, 5-9 SEC) in a near miss as they fell to Tennessee in SEC action in Bud Walton Arena Sunday.

TULANE 74, TULSA 59 – Tulsa fell to 11-15 overall and 6-7 in Conference USA with the loss to Tulane on Sunday in New Orleans.
