MHS baseball honored in Tulsa



Muskogee High’s baseball squad had several honored Monday night at the Tulsa Metro Coaches Association meeting.

Harris Jones, Dakota Morse and Austin Jones were all selected to the Tulsa Metro Coaches Association South All-Star team

Also, Harris Jones was also to play in the Tulsa/ OKC All-Star game on May 24 at Owasso High School. The Tulsa squad will be coached by MHS coach Jeremy Griffin, who was voted Tulsa Metro Coaches Association Coach of the Year, and his MHS staff.

OKLAHOMA CITY  — Five Oklahoma softball players and one from Oklahoma State have been named first team All-Big 12 while OU coach Patty Gasso is Coach of the Year.

OU’s Brittany Williams, Georgia Casey, Shelby Pendley, Kady Self and Kelsey Stevens and OSU’s Shelby Davis were all named to the first team announced Tuesday.

Gasso was named Coach of the Year for the seventh time after leading the Sooners to their third straight Big 12 Conference title.

STILLWATER — Jose Trevino had three hits but ORU pitching coughed up 12 walks to Oklahoma State, three coming with the bases loaded in a five-run eighth inning that cost the Golden Eagles an 8-3 decision at Stillwater on Tuesday.

Saulyer Saxon, Donne WAlton, and Gage Green each had two hits for the Cowboys (39-13). ORU fell to 29-24.
