NSU 10-8, LINDENWOOD 2-6 – The RiverHawks run-ruled Lindenwood in the first game and pulled out an extra-inning affair to sweep Saturday’s Mid-America Intercollegiate Athletics Association doubleheader in St. Charles, Mo.

In the first game, Sequoyah ex Saharra Henson scored the first run of the game while Muskogee ex Madison Reed came home with NSU’s fourth run. In game two, Reed scored twice while Henson scored once in helping the RiverHawks (24-20, 14-8 MIAA) to the win.

KANSAS 9, OSU 7 — Despite home runs by Tiffany Mikkelson, Tarah Ettinger and  Samantha Chrisman, the Cowgirls lost to the Jayhawks in Stillwater. Kat Espinosa (14-14) was the losing pitcher for OSU (25-21, 3-8 in Big 12), while Kansas improved to 27-12, 4-4.

TEXAS 4, OU 2 – The Sooners (38-3, 7-1) saw their 11-game winning streak snapped at Austin, Texas. Texas (39-5, 9-1) moved into first place. Tahlequah ex Erica Sampson made an appearance as a pinch runner in the second inning and was caught stealing.

WESTERN 6-4, CONNORS 4-2 — Jessica Christian (8-10) and Amanda O’Neal (4-4) were the losing pitchers for the Cowgirls in being swept in Altus. Rikki Wooten hit h er first home run of the season, a two-run shot, in the first game as the Cowgirls dropped to 21-28 overall and 7-13 in the Oklahoma Collegiate Athletic Confernce.

TEXAS WESLEYAN 7-9, BACONE 6-6 — Tarah Moutray had four hits and drove in seven runs in the doubleheader, but it wasn’t enough for the Lady Warriors (17-22, 15-8 Red River Athletic Conference). Karina Watson had four hits in the twinbill. Krissy Froelich had two doubles in the first game.

HOUSTON 4-3, TULSA 3-2 – Houston scored in the bottom of the seventh inning of each game to sweep the Conference USA doubleheader in Houston, Texas. Samantha Cobb went 4-for-7 with a home run on the day for the Golden Hurricane (32-13-1, 12-5).

ARKANSAS 4, KENTUCKY 0 – Hope McLemore and Chelsea Cohen combined on a no-hitter for Arkansas (30-16, 7-9 SEC). Hilldale ex Danielle Riddle appeared in the game as a pinch runner.
