OSU 5, TEXAS 3 —Tarah Ettinger’s two-out, two-run single in the seventh sparked a four-run rally for the Cowgirls (25-21, 5-9 Big 12) against Texas (28-19, 7-4) at Austin, Texas. Hilldale grad Danielle Riddle had two hits as did Ettinger. Simone Freeman (20-12) pitched seven innings, allowing three runs on six hits.

NSU SWEPT — NSU (25-27, 11-13 MIAA) lost 6-3 and 4-1 at Missouri Western (33-15, 16-8). The RiverHawks have lost 15 of their last 16. NSU is tied with Pitt State for the eighth and final playoff spot for the MIAA tournament. Home runs accounted for all of NSU’s runs —Nevada Campos hit a three-run home run in the first game and Megan Robison a solo shot in game two.

BACONE SWEPT — The Lady Warriors outhit RRAC-leading Our Lady of Lake (34-10-1, 16-2)  6-5 but lost by that margin on the scoreboard, 3-2 and were swept in a doubleheader in San Antonio. Bacone  (21-27, 10-8) lost 7-0 on two hits in the first game, both by Kelli Costello. Rhiannon Bean was the lone multi-hit batsman in the second game, going 2-for-3.
