BACONE 4, NORTHWESTERN (Iowa) 3; BACONE 11, NORTHWESTERN 10 – The Warriors improved to 3-2 on the season with the doubleheader sweep of Northwestern (Iowa) on Friday.

Michael Kirkland got the win in relief in the opener while Ronnie Galindo evened his record at 1-1 with the win in the nightcap.

SETON HALL 7, OU 5 – The University of Oklahoma fell to Seton Hall in the 2014 season opener in Norman on Friday.

OSU 10, INCARNATE WORD 5 – Oklahoma State opened the 2014 season Friday with a come-from-behind win over Incarnate Word in the UTA/Hilton Invitational at Clay Gould Ballpark.

SE MISSOURI 10, ORAL ROBERTS 4 – A perfect day at the plate by Emmanuel Forcier in his Golden Eagle debut wasn’t enough as the Oral Roberts fell in the season opener against Southeast Missouri State on Friday.

ARKANSAS 12, APPALACHIAN ST. 2 – The University of Arkansas baseball team won its 20th consecutive season opener against the Appalachian State Mountaineers at Baum Stadium on Friday. The win marks the 400th inside Baum Stadium.

NSU 5, SOUTHERN ARKANSAS 4 – The RiverHawks defeated Southern Arkansas on the first day of the Holiday Inn at the Falls Invitational in Wichita Falls, Texas, on Friday.

TU 5, MCNEESE ST. 4; TU 9, OREGON ST. 1 – Cierra Hughes went 4-for-6 with four RBI and three runs scored on the day to lead the Tulsa softball team to wins over McNeese State and Oregon State, to begin the Aggie Classic Friday in College Station, Texas.

OU 11, ILLINOIS ST. 6 – The Sooners scored eight runs in the first three innings to beat Illinois St. on Friday at the Littlewood Classic in Phoenix, Ariz.

OSU 6, COLORADO ST. 3; OSU 5, UTSA. 3 – The Cowgirls opened their play at the UTSA Classic with wins over Oregon St. and Texas-San Antonio. on Friday.
