CONNORS 6, COFFEYVILLE CC 5 (10) – Top-ranked Connors State won its 12th consecutive game, but needed 10 innings to defeat Coffeyville Community College on Tuesday.

The win was the 1,399th for coach Perry Keith in his career. Keith now stands at 1,399 and 402 in 29 years and can win No. 1,400 on Sunday at Carl Albert.

Sequoyah ex Eric Kirkpatrick scored the winning run in the 10th inning on a double by Raul Centeno. Hilldale grad Jarrard Poteete had three hits and two RBIs.

OU 9, TCU 5 – Oklahoma won its fifth straight with a non-conference victory over Big 12 foe TCU on Tuesday.

Oklahoma overcame a season-high five errors as it outhit TCU, 12-10, in the win. A four-run sixth inning broke a 3-3 tie and put the Sooners, who added two more in the seventh, ahead for good.

ST. GREGORY’S 7, BACONE 6 – The Warriors spotted St. Gregory’s a 7-1 lead before cutitng the deficit to one heading into the ninth inning.

Eric Folkers and Ryan Wagner both went 2-for-4 with a run scored for Bacone (16-7) with Folkers driving in three runs with Wagner plating one.


OU 8, BRADLEY 0 (6) – Three pitchers combined on a four-hit shutout as Oklahoma (19-8) breezed to an six-inning victory Tuesday night over Bradley. It was OU’s third shutout of the season and the team’s 10th win via run-rule.

It was the first ever meeting between OU and Bradley, but the Sooners picked up their 13th straight win over a Missouri Valley Conference team and their 36th in their past 37 contests against MVC schools.
