ORAL ROBERTS (M) 74, TULSA 68  — Obi Emegano scored 19 points in his Oral Roberts debut and the Golden Eagles broke open a close game down the stretch to beat Tulsa in the season opener for both at the Donald W. Reynolds Center.

Tulsa’s D’Andre Wright hit two free throws to tie the score with 4:09 remaining, but ORU outscored TU 16-10 the rest of the way. Rashad Smith had 19 points and Shaquille Anderson 18 for TU.

KANSAS 84, ORAL ROBERTS (W) 62 — Chelsea Gardner’s 24 points and 13 rebounds led Kansas (1-0) in Lawrence, Kan. For ORU (1-1) Kaylan Mayberry scoring a team-high 17 points. Christian Key added 13 points, all in the second half, and for the second straight game, Muskogee High grad Alexus Wilson came off the bench to score 12 points.

OKLAHOMA (W) 89, WICHITA STATE 70 — Sharane Campbell scored a game-high and career-high 24 points as Oklahoma (2-0)  survived a slow start at the perimeter in the Women’s NIT quarterfinal.

Aaryn Ellenberg had one first-half basket.Campbell was 9-for-9 from the free throw line and had 14 first-half points.

Morgan Hook scored 15 points and Nicole Griffin added a double-double with 14 points and 10 rebounds. Ellenberg made 3-of-4 3-pointers in the last 10 minutes of the game, to quash the Shockers’ attempts of a comeback. Ellenberg finished with 14 points. The Sooners will play Gonzaga at 7 p.m. Thursday in Norman in an NIT semifinal.

 OKLAHOMA ST. (W) 74, TEXAS-ARLINGTON 35 — At Stillwater, Tiffany Bias had 14 points, nine assists and six steals, LaShawn Jones 12 points and 11 rebounds and Brittney Martin scored a game-high 16 points for Oklahoma State. The Cowgirls (2-0) opened the game with a 32-7 run before UTA closed the gap to 41-23 at halftime. Oklahoma State then scored 18 straight points, holding the Mavericks scoreless for the first 7:59 of the second half.
