OKLAHOMA STATE 8, ARIZONA STATE 5 — The No. 9 Cowboys (33-13) extended their win streak to four games  Friday at Allie P. Reynolds Stadium.

Tanner Krietemeier led the OSU attack with a 3-for-3 night at the plate, while Tim Arakawa drove in two runs, his ninth multi-RBI game of the season, and is now tied for the team lead with 31 RBIs.

Alex Hackerott earned the win on the mound in relief of starter Jon Perrin to improve to 3-1, while Brendan McCurry added to his record saves total with his 13th of the year and 21st of his career.

BAYLOR 3, OKLAHOMA 2 — The Sooners (25-22, 5-11 Big 12) saw their losing streak grow to seven games, while the Bears (21-26, 6-12) snapped a three-game conference skid.

More importantly, Baylor, by virtue of conference winning percentage, leaped the Sooners for seventh place in the Big 12. The Sooners ended Friday night still one game ahead of Kansas State for the eighth place in the standings. Craig Aikin had an RBI single in the bottom of the third inning, and Neuse drove him in on his Big 12-leading seventh double of the season.

However, OU only had six hits.

NSU 6, CENT. MISSOURI 5 (11) – Eighth seeded Northeastern State took a 1-0 lead in the series at top seeded Central Missouri in the firsr round of the MIAA Baseball championship. David Weber hit a home run and drove in two runs for the RiverHawks while Kyle Singleton also added a home run and Tyler Wilkins scored twice. Game two of the series is at 2 p.m. today with the game three, if necessary, to follow.

BACONE 17, JARVIS CHRISTIAN 15 — The Warriors pounded out 17 hits, led by Jonathan Villela’s 5-for-6, four RBI game and advanced in the Red River Athletic Conference Tournament on Friday at Shreveport, La. Villlela hit a two-run home run as part of a nine-run first. Bacone plays LSU-Shreveport in a winner’s bracket game at 3 p.m. today.
