$AVING YOU MONEY: Flea markets offer shoppers bargains By Cathy SpauldingPhoenix Staff Writer Coffey said the best way to get a bargain is to negotiate with the dealer. “If you see a piece of something, ask if they’ll take less. They’ll get rid of it for cheap.” Reba Flegler, who moved to Muskogee from Kansas, advised “decide what you want, and if you want it bad enough, negotiate.” Clark said he usually sells for a set price. “Sometimes I will negotiate, sometimes I won’t,” he said. “If something’s been here for a long time and hasn’t been sold, I’m inclined to sell it cheaper.” Clark said he makes sure all his used lawn mowers work before he sells them. He said pet carriers are top sellers. “They don’t stay here long at all,” he said. “The small ones might be $12.50.” A Pet Taxi carrier at Wal-Mart sells for $17.84. Like the Love It shop, JC’s sells smaller items such as collectibles inside. “A lot of people who come here just look outside and don’t come in to look,” Clark said.
