BACONE 6-15, CENTRAL BAPTIST 0-1 — At home, the Warriors (22-3) capped a sweep with 11 hits and three home runs.

Mario Garcia hit a three-run home run in the second. Jeremy Carey hit a solo shot in the third and Joel Torres dittoed that in the fourth. Garcia was 2-for-3 with three RBIs. Cody Biles was 2-for-4 with two RBIs and Jeremy Carey had three RBIs.

Matt Freeman, John Norwood and Tyler Keele combined on a four-hitter that was called after 4 1/2 innings due to the run rule.

In the opener, Bacone made the most of four hits, scoring a pair of runs in the third and fourth innings. Torres, Julian Alvarez and Lester Gonzalez each had run-scoring singles.

Anthony Ruiz scattered six hits over six innings and Keel retired the side in order in the seventh.

CONNORS 12, CROWDER, MO., 11 — At Neosho, Mo., Justin Worby’s two-out single in the 10th plated Brandon Smith with the winning run as the Cowboys moved to 17-3..

Smith singled to lead the inning off and Michael Zurmehly’s sacrifice bunt advanced him into scoring position at second. Then, in the bottom of the 10th, with the tying run at third with two outs. Garrett Graziano got back-to-back strikeouts to end the game. Graziano pitched three full innings, coming on in the eighth, to even his record at 1-1.

Connors also had the big bats out. Kyle DeGrace was 3-for-6 with three home runs and six RBIs, bringing his season total to six. He had a three-run home run in the second. Zane Williams had two solo home runs, giving him five for the year.

Brandon Smith hit his eighth, a solo in the fifth. Tyler Tuthill was 4-for-6 and scored twice.

OSU 19, Missouri State 10 — Oklahoma State hit seven home runs, including three by Dylan Brown, to power past MissouriState.

Brown’s three home runs tied the school’s single-game record, marking the10th time a Cowboy has had three homers in a game. The last to do it was Adam Carr against Kansas on May 22, 2005.

A sophomore outfielder, Brown finished the contest 3-for-5 with five RBIs.
