Streak ends for Hobby Stock driver; Sapulpa driver captures Sprint flag Joe Duvall passed William Gould with two laps remaining to win the accident-plagued Modified feature. There were only 12 cars in the race. By lap 13, only six remained.. Five cars finished the trophy-dash like contest.
For the Chelsea driver, it was his first feature win of the season. Gould, of Fort Smith, was bidding for his second straight checkered flag verdict. Kenneth Walker captured the special Oil Capital Racing Sprint car feature. He beat Jamie Passmore of Rose to the checkered flag in the 25-lap race. The Sapulpa driver took the lead from the pole and led the entire race. The only time he was challenged came on lap 16 when Mike Goodman of Tulsa drove to his back bumper. Passmore went past Goodman on the white flag trip to grab second. He barely beat Goodman – by a half car at the finish line. In the Sprint B Feature, Andrew Deal of Tulsa rolled his car between turn one and two on a false start. His car wing on the top of his car was bent down over the motor. Deal walked away from the accident.
