Connors State had three players selected Tuesday to the All-Region II baseball team.
Pitcher Shane Cameron, outfielder Kyle DeGrace and designated hitter Brandon Smith were all on the first team. Catcher Zane Williams and infielders Tyler Tuthill and Mike Zurmehly were chosen to the second team. Rawlings Gold Glove winners were catcher Justin Worby, Tuthill at third base and Brett Coffman in the outfield.
Connors State finished the regular season at 40-16 and 12-8 and begins the Region II tournament against Arkansas-Fort Smith (40-15, 11-9) at 3:30 p.m. Thursday.
In softball, Connors State’s Amanda Tanner was a first team selection on the All-Region II team. Kylie Morton was a designated hitter on the second team where Beth Everett also made the team as an outfielder. Connors finished 35-21 and was Region II runner-up for the second year in a row.
