Because of rain, the state high school baseball tournament, scheduled to start Wednesday for the Class 6A and 5A schools and today for the other classifications, was postponed and the schedule moved up a day.
That means the opening round games are Friday, the semifinals are Saturday and the championshp games are now on Monday.
Four area schools — Fort Gibson, Eufaula, Keys and Oktaha — are in this year’s tourney.
In opening round action Friday, Fort Gibson now plays Weatherford at 5 p.m. at Shawnee HIgh School in Class 4A, while Keys meets Beggs at 5 p.m. and Eufaula faces Chandler at 7:30 p.m. at Mustang High School in 3A and Oktaha takes on Drumright at 7:30 p.m. at Oklahoma City’s Dolese Park.
