Baseball
PLAYERS

• 4 Love of the Game, a non-profit geared toward building character through sports, is looking for players for the 1st Annual Native American Baseball Invitational, in partnership with the Arizona Diamondbacks, in Phoenix, Arizona on July 5-9. Travel expenses, lodging and meals will be provided. Tryouts will be held on May 17 and 24, 2008 beginning at 10 a.m., at locations to be announced as the tryout dates approach. Basketball
CAMPS

• Fort Gibson Tiger camp, 8:30-11:30 a.m., May 28-30 for grades 2-9. Concession provided. Contact: Gary Hendrix, 478-6242.
• Fort Gibson Lady Tiger camp, 8:30-11:30 a.m., June 2-4 for grades 1-9. Concession provided, swimming after camp. Contact: Jerry Walker, 478-2452.

• Connors State Cowgirl Basketball Camp on May 27-30 and June 30-July 3. If registered by May 15, campers receive a free basketball. Free t-shirts to all campers. Contact: Eddie Kite, 463-6305.
• Bill Muse 2008 Cowboy Basketball Camp at Connors State College on June 15-19. Individual skills on July 23-24 and July 25-26 shooting camp for boys and girls. Camp ages 8-up. If registered by May 15, campers receive a free basketball. Contact: Bill Muse, 463-6231.

Football
COACHES WANTED

• Volunteer coaches needed for youth football and cheerleading. Anyone interested is asked to apply at Muskogee Civic Center on May 17 from 10 a.m. to 2 p.m. Contact: Kim Rosson, 683-5330.

SIGN-UPS
• Hilldale Youth Football registrations now online at hilldaleyouthsports.org for grades 1-6. Players must attend Hilldale schools or live in the Hilldale district. Contact: Ben, 360-3936 or Pat, 391-2949.

Golf
EVENTS

• Muskogee Parks and Recreation Department will host 2008 Hook a Kid on Golf Tee Level Clinic on June 9-13. Children must be between ages 8-13. Fee: $125 with financial assistance available. Each participant receives new starter set of Hook a Kid on Golf clubs. Registration forms available on May 1. Contact: 684-6302.

TOURNAMENTS
• Prime Rib Classic May 13 at Muskogee Country Club. Cost: $375 per three-man team. Featuring former Heisman Trophy winners Eric Crouch, Johnny Rodgers, George Rogers and Mike Rozier. Sponsorships at $1,000 each are also for sale. Proceeds will benefit Wish Foundation, Women Who Care and McCoy's Youth Shelter. Contact: 682-8051 or 681-3900.

Running
EVENTS
