Texas forward signs with TU

— TULSA (AP) — A 6-foot-7 power forward from Texas has signed to play college basketball for the University of Tulsa.
Bassel Bawji of Klein Collins High School in suburban Houston signed after visiting Tulsa’s campus Wednesday and canceled a recruiting trip to Seton Hall.
Bawji is a 225-pound forward and a native of Beirut, Lebanon.
His signing completes the Golden Hurricane’s recruiting class for next season. Coach Doug Wojcik has also signed point guards Brandon Jackson from Putnam City High School and Adrian Hernandez from Monterey Peninsula College in California and high-school forwards Armond Battle and Joe Richard.
