TULSA, Okla. (AP) — Donnie Webb and Rebel Ridling had two RBIs each to help lead Oklahoma State to a 7-1 victory over Oklahoma in the first game of the Bedlam baseball series Friday night.
The game was even early on, with both teams scoring in the first inning for a 1-1 tie. But the Sooners (31-22-1, 8-16-1 Big 12) sputtered offensively and the Cowboys added another six runs.
Webb nabbed his two RBIs during a three-run second inning with a two-run single that scored Thomas Belza and Tyrone Hambly.
Ridling, whose RBI double in the first inning put Oklahoma State (39-14, 17-8) up 1-0, hit a home run in the ninth to wrap up scoring. He finished 3-for-5 and Webb went 2-for-4. Matt Hague hit a home run and Belza and Neil Medchill had one RBI each.
Andrew Oliver (6-2) allowed seven hits and one run and struck out seven in eight innings for the Cowboys.
J.T. Wise had an RBI for Oklahoma, a sacrifice fly in the first inning that scored Jamie Johnson.
C.J. Blue (6-3) suffered the loss, allowing nine hits and five runs in four innings.
