The outdoor calendar runs every Friday. Items should be submitted by fax 684-2865, e-mail at sports@muskogeephoenix.com or submitted in writing to the Phoenix at 214 Wall Street during business hours (9 a.m. to 5 p.m.). Items must be submitted no later than 5 p.m. Wednesday for inclusion in the next calendar.

Lake report Conditions at Oklahoma lakes as reported Wednesday by the state Department of Wildlife Conservation and lake rangers.
NORTHEAST Fort Gibson: Elevation 8 1/2 feet and dropping, water 83 and murky. Largemouth bass good on salt crawls and stinkbaits at 3 feet around brush and rocks early and late. White bass good trolling with jigs, crankbaits, long tail baits, split-tail jigs and bucktail jigs above the dam; good on jigs, minnows and bucktail jigs below the dam. Catfish good on juglines with cut baits and shad and drifting; excellent on trotlines with shad and sunfish. Report submitted by Marvin Stanley, game warden stationed in Wagoner County.
Greenleaf: Elevation normal, water clear. Largemouth bass good on topwater lures and spinnerbaits in creek channels and weed beds. Catfish good on stinkbaits and cut baits on bottom. Crappie good on minnows and jigs at fishing docks and brush structure. Report submitted by Lark Wilson, game warden stationed in Muskogee County.
Hudson: Elevation normal. Largemouth bass fair on plastics around points and coves. Channel and blue catfish excellent on cut shad in the upper end of the lake. All other fishing slow. Report submitted by Steve Loveland, game warden stationed in Rogers and Mayes Counties.
Keystone: Elevation 9 feet above normal, water muddy. Largemouth bass fair on plastics at 3-6 feet in flooded cover. Smallmouth bass slow on crankbaits at 6-12 feet around points. Spotted bass fair on spinnerbaits and plastics at 4-8 feet along steep rocky banks. White bass fair on minnows at 6-12 feet below the dam and under bridges. Striped bass fair on bucktails and swim baits at 3-6 feet below the dam. Channel catfish fair on chicken liver and worms at 4-8 feet in creeks. Blue catfish good on cut shad and punch baits at 6-12 feet in mouths of creeks. Flathead catfish good on goldfish and live shad at 6-12 feet below the dam and bluff areas. Crappie fair on minnows and tube jigs at 6-12 feet in mouths of creeks and near culverts. Report submitted by Woody’s Bait and Tackle.
Lower Illinois: Elevation above normal, water 56 and murky. Largemouth bass fair on crankbaits at 4 feet in backwater week beds and coves. White bass fair on jigs at 4 feet all along river. Striped bass good on cut bait at 4-9 feet all along river. Channel catfish good on cut bait at 4-8 feet all along river. Blue catfish fair on cut bait at 4-8 feet at the mouth of the river. Crappie slow on jigs at 4 feet all along river. Trout fair on power baits and spinnerbaits at 3 feet at Gore Landing Dam. Report submitted by D. Tracy, Town of Gore.
Tenkiller: Elevation 6 1/2 feet above normal, water 84 and clear. Largemouth bass good on all bass lures in flooded brush; also good on bass jigs at 25 feet around ledges. Catfish good on stinkbaits at 20 feet on gravel points; also good drifting shallow flats with cut baits and minnows. Sunfish good in docks or along bluffs on night crawlers. Webbers Falls: Elevation 3 feet above normal, water clear. Largemouth bass fair on spinnerbaits and crankbaits in creek channels. Catfish good on stinkbaits on bottom. Crappie fair on minnows and jigs around brush structure and bridges. Report submitted by Lark Wilson, game warden stationed in Muskogee County.
SOUTHEAST Eufaula: Elevation 1 foot above normal, water clear in the east and murky in the west. Largemouth bass fair on crankbaits and plastics in deep points. White bass good on jigs around bridge areas. Blue catfish fair drifting the flats with shad. Crappie fair on minnows and jigs at 8-15 feet around bridges. Robert S. Kerr: Elevation normal, water 82 and murky. Largemouth bass fair on plastic baits and jigs at 3-6feet around weedy rock and woody areas next to deeper water. Crappie fair on minnows at 8 feet around any brush structure in the old creek channels. White bass slow on jigs and crankbaits at 6-8 feet in the lower end of the lake. Blue and flathead catfish good at 3-10 feet on live bait and fresh cut shad in rocky areas around the lake. Report submitted by Rick Olzawski, game warden stationed in Haskell County.
