STILLWATER (AP) — Oklahoma State has set a school record for season football ticket sales this year.
The university announced Tuesday it had surpassed the number of season tickets it sold in 2004 following the Cowboys’ appearance in the Cotton Bowl.
Through this week, Oklahoma State has sold 38,590 season tickets. That’s 86 more than were sold in 2004.
The record comes after athletic director Mike Holder announced that tickets to the Bedlam rivalry game against Oklahoma would only be available as part of the season-ticket package.
Single-game tickets are being sold for the rest of Oklahoma State’s schedule.
There were 45,001 fans in attendance for last weekend’s season opener against Houston as Oklahoma State opened its new west end zone seating area.
