Baseball
OKTAHA WINS CONNORS TOURNEY
— Oktaha scored three runs on four hits in the first inning and Cale Elam took care of the rest.

Elam struck out 11 in seven innings, allowing just two hits and two unearned runs as he moved to 5-1 on the year.

Oktaha’s Daniel Hayes led off the first inning with a single and scored on a wild pitch to put the Tigers up 1-0. Derrick Skinner doubled and scored on a Jon Hayes single. Hayes later came around on a Shane Leach double to make it 3-0.

Oktaha (21-3) hosts Red Oak at 5 p.m. tonight.


BRAGGS WINS TWO — Cody Grant went 2-for-3 with a three-run home run to give Braggs a 15-3 win over Schulter.

Marcus Dailey (1-0) got the win. Chris Kizzia scored twice and went 2-for-2 at the plate.

In the second game, Garrett Kizzia (1-1) struck out six and went 3-for-3 with a double as Braggs (5-4) knocked off Wilson 8-5.

Cody Grant earned the save in the second game and went 2-for-3 with a double.

Braggs plays at home Thursday against Schulter.


Softball
TAHLEQUAH ROUGHS UP OKTAHA
— Erica Sampson got the win for Tahlequah, but she did the majority of her damage at the plate.

Sampson, now 2-5 on the mound, finished 2-for-3 at the plate with a pair of RBIs. Jessica Patrick added four RBIs on two hits for Tahlequah, who plays at Muskogee at 5 p.m. tonight.


PORTER PEACHY — Porter swept Wilson-Henryetta 9-0 and 12-0 on Monday, playing just three innings in each contest.

In the six innings of softball, Katy Harsen had six hits in six at-bats, to go along with four RBIs. Mesti Turner (10-5) got the win in the first game, striking out five in three innings of no-hit ball. Andrea Sutton (1-0) got the win in the second game, tossing three hitless innings as well, striking out four.

Porter resumes play on Wednesday in the Morris Tournament.


WARNER SWEPT — Chelsea Morris and Brooke Stidham each went 3-for-4 and Kaitlyn Teague and Kenna McCoy had two hits apiece, but Warner still lost to Broken Arrow JV 7-0 and Sequoyah 11-0.

Warner (9-10) plays at 4:30 p.m. at Sallisaw today.


Volleyball
OKAY TOPS CLAREMORE
— Okay defeated Claremore on Monday 3-0 (25-14, 25-10, 25-20). Katie Metzger led the way with 10 kills and six aces. Melissa Wright added four kills and seven aces and Violetta Morales added 21 assists as Okay moved to 21-7 on the season.

The Lady Mustangs play at Tulsa Memorial at 5 p.m. tonight.


SEQUOYAH BEATS SALINA — Bryna Wilson had nine assists and three aces to lead the Lady Indians to a 3-1 (25-11, 25-16, 15-25, 25-13) win over Salina on Monday.

Laurin Keen added six kills and Jeresa Teehee had six aces. Sequoyah (11-8) plays next at Inola at 5 p.m. on Thursday.
