OU, Griffin roll in exhibition
NORMAN
— Blake Griffin was 10-for-10 from the field and finished with 22 points, 11 rebounds, five assists and three blocks in 28 minutes as Oklahoma eased past Oklahoma Panhandle State 90-43 in a men’s college basketball exhibition contest on Wednesday.

Willie Warren had 15 points and Cade Davis 12 as OU built a 48-19 lead at the half. Aaron Jackson led Panhandle with 14 points.

The Sooners play Cameron at noon Saturday, again in Norman and again in an exhibition.


Connors posts pair of wins
WARNER
— Kameisha Johnson scored 21 points and Ashleigh Franklin added 15 as Connors State took its No. 10 ranking in the NJCAA poll and moved to 3-0 on the season with a 66-61 victory over Cowley County (Kan.) on Wednesday.

Connors’ men completed the sweep at Melvin Self Fieldhouse with a 110-35 spanking of the Oklahoma City University JV.

Ashleigh Franklin scored 15 points for the Cowgirls, who led by 12 with 10 minutes to play but fell behind by one at the four-minute mark.

For the Cowboys, five players registered double-figure scoring. C.J. Washington led the way with 22, followed by Ray Jones with 17, Chris Blake with 16, Justin Butler with 12 and Rakeem Couch with 10.

Connors women will pay Missouri Valley at 5:30 p.m. Friday in the NorthArk Classic in Harrison, Ark., and Johnson County (Kan). at noon on Saturday. The Cowboys are also in tournament action at home in the Coke Classic against Bacone’s JV at 7:30 p.m. Friday and Richland College at 4 p.m. on Saturday.


OSU rolls in Ford’s debut
STILLWATER
— The Travis Ford era at Oklahoma State began on Wednesday with a 112-75 victory over Rogers State.

Terrel Harris fell just short of a triple-double with 32 points, 10 rebounds and seven steals.

Harris hit one of his six 3-pointers for a 22-7 lead at the 11:24 mark of the first half. The Cowboys’ biggest lead of the half came when Harris hit another 3 with 30 seconds until halftime, making it 55-27, and the lead fluctuated between 29 and 36 points in the second half before Brad Garrett’s 3 with 19 seconds left ended the scoring with the biggest difference in the contest.

Harris led five players in double figures. Byron Eaton scored 13 points and had seven assists, while junior guard Obi Muonelo scored 12 points and had seven rebounds. Sophomore James Anderson and freshman Keiton Page scored 10 points each.

Oklahoma State returns to action for its final exhibition game of the season as the Cowboys host Langston at 3 p.m. Saturday.
