AKRON 74, ORAL ROBERTS (M) 64 — At Akron, Ohio, Oral Roberts shot 42.6 percent to Akron’s 43.9 percent, but committed 20 turnovers. Shawn Glover finished with 21 points and Korey Billbury added 14 with seven boards. ORU is now 5-6 and the Zips moved to 4-2 behind Quincy Diggs’ 19 points.

NORTHWESTERN 84, ORAL ROBERTS (W) 54 — At Evanston, Ill., ORU (1-7) shot just 31.5 percent (17-of-54) from the field and committed 27 turnovers. Muskogee ex Alexus Wilson was scoreless on 0-for-5 shooting. She missed both her free-throw attempts. Northwestern (8-2) was led by Maggie Lyon and Christen Inman, both with 17 points.

Christian Key led the Golden Eagles with 15 points, 13 of the markers coming after halftime.

PHILANDER SMITH 85, BACONE (W) 50 — Tied at 16 in the first half, the host Panthers went on a 27-6 scoring run to send the Lady Warriors into the semester break with a resounding loss at Mims Gymnasium in Little Rock, Ark.

The Lady Warriors knocked down 28 percent (14-of-49) from the field while hitting  just 4 of 15 from 3-point range. They also committed 39 turnovers.

Dametria Dawson led Bacone in scoring with 15 and Myriah Hadnot registered a double-double with 13 points and 12 boards.

Bacone’s (1-5, 1-1) next game will take place on Jan. 7 at home against Crowley’s Ridge College.
