TULSA — Tulsa opened Conference USA play with a resounding 97-71 victory over the Tulane Green Wave in the league opener for both schools Thursday night at the Donald W. Reynolds Center.
Tulsa (6-9, 1-0 C-USA) had all five starters score in double-figures as Shaquille Harrison led the way with a career-high 23 points, while D’Andre Wright scored 18 points, Lew Evans 14, Tim Peete 12 and James Woodard 11 points.
Tulane (8-8, 0-1 C-USA) had four players with double-digit points including 17 by Louis Dabney.
The 26-point victory was the largest in the Danny Manning era for a Conference USA contest, beating the previous biggest margin of 15 points coming last year at Houston
