MUSKOGEE QUALIFIES THREE – Playing in the Class 6A Region II regional at Bixby High School, the Lady Roughers qualified players in three of four events for this weekend’s state tournament at Oklahoma City. Jensen Martin, playing at No. 2 singles, lost to Union’s Kamary Snyder 6-4, 6-1 to finish fourth to earn a state tournament berth.. The No. 1 doubles team of Claire Farmer and Alexis Rosson lost to the team from Union 6-2, 6-3 to place fourth and qualify for state. At No. 2  doubles, Laura Jardine and Abby Wayman also lost Union 6-2, 6-2 to finish fourth and join their teammates at the state tournament. Terra Patrick, Muskogee’s No. 1 singles player, lost to Bixby’s Mariah Turney 6-0, 6-0 to place sixth, missing out on the state tournament.

CLASS 5A REGION I REGIONAL – No results from the regional at Cascia Hall were available at press time.

WAGONER FINISHES SIXTH – The Lady Bulldogs did not have any qualifiers for state and finished sixth behind Henryetta, Oklahoma Bible Academy, Seminole, Oologah, and Rejoice Christian in the Class 4A Region II regional at LaFortune Park. Alexis Ford and Savannah Jones lost 7-5, 7-5 to Victory Christian No. 1 doubles pair to finish in fifth place. Wagoner’s No. 1 singles player Sierra Arnce lost 6-3, 6-0 to to finish sixth. Aubrie Thompson lost 6-0, 6-0 to Seminole’s Hannah Grace to finish in sixth place at No. 2 singles while Morgan Randolph and Katelyn Greer lost 6-2, 6-1 to place sixth at No. 2 doubles.
