OSU 3, OU 2 – Oklahoma State claimed a Bedlam Series win for the second-straight year as the Cowboys emerged a victor over Oklahoma in Sunday’s series finale at Chickasaw Bricktown Ballpark.

Robbie Rea scored the winning run on a sacrifice fly off the bat of Randy McCurry in the bottom of the eighth inning as OSU improved to 28-18, 13-8 in the Big 12 Conference, while the Sooners fall to 30-19, 10-10 in Big 12 play.

Blake Barnes picked up the win in relief, working the final 3 1/3 innings and struck out four to improve to 5-3. Steven Okert absorbed the loss and dropped to 5-6 on the year.

ORU 20, MVSU 4 – Holding a 9-4 lead after seven innings, Oral Roberts (27-20) blasted out 11 runs in the eighth to finish off Mississippi Valley State completing the three-game sweep of the series on Sunday in Tulsa

Cam Schiller had four hits on the day to lead ORU, while Brandon King had six RBIs and recorded his first triple of the year. Kurt Giller (5-4) earned the victory on the mound for ORU, striking out four batters in five innings of work, giving up four runs.

S. CAROLINA 10, ARKANSAS 7 – After a scoreless first six innings, Arkansas (34-15, 12-12 SEC) and South Carolina (36-12, 16-8 SEC) combined for 17 runs over the final three innings as the Gamecocks defeated the Razorbacks on Sunday in Fayetteville, Ark.

Arkansas out-hit South Carolina 15-10 in the loss and had four players record multi-hit games. Dominic Ficociello led the Razorbacks with three hits, while Brian Anderson, Bo Bigham and Jacob Mahan each had two hits. Arkansas starter DJ Baxendale (6-3) was saddled with the loss after giving up four runs on five hits and striking out a season-high tying seven batters in seven innings.

Softball

TU 3, UAB 0 – Junior Lacey Middlebrooks hit a three-run home run and pitched a one-hit shutout to lead Tulsa to the Conference USA regular-season championship with a win at Alabama-Birmingham on Sunday at UAB Softball Field.

The Golden Hurricane (38-12, 19-5 C-USA) claimed its second straight regular season C-USA title and earned the No. 1 seed in this week’s C-USA Championship in Birmingham.

Middlebrooks (18-5) took a no-hitter into the sixth inning, and recorded four strikeouts and allowed just two walks in the game.

TEXAS 12, OU 5 – Oklahoma dropped its final game of a three-game series with Texas on Sunday, but remained in the driver’s seat in its quest for the program’s ninth Big 12 title. The loss, OU’s most lopsided this season, dropped OU to 42-8 on the year and 16-5 in the Big 12 while Texas improved to 41-10 and 15-8.

Keilani Ricketts took the loss to Oklahoma to fall to 26-7 on the year.

TEXAS TECH 8, OSU 4 – Tamara Brown went 3-for-4 with a double and a run scored, but the Cowgirl offense couldn’t keep up with Texas Tech as the Red Raiders defeated Oklahoma State on Sunday in Lubbock, Texas.

Simone Freeman (7-10) took the loss for OSU (25-22 overall, 8-12 Big 12). The two schools will conclude the series with a 4 p.m. game today.
