Plenty of rodeo activity to go around this weekend

The Muskogee Round-Up Club continues their eight-week barrel racing series today. $5 of each entry fee will go toward the added money finals. Exhibitions begin at 6 p.m., race at 8 p.m. Youth entry fee: $17 (12-under), open entry fee: $30. No nomination fee. To qualify for the finals you must compete at six of the eight races. If there are more than 50 entries, a 5D incentive will be paid (one place equaling $25). Contact Rhonda Stewart at (918 ) 869-1498.

The Hillbilly Ranch and Arena continues their Friday night Team Sorting. Gates open 6 p.m., Sorting 8 p.m. $4 per ticket to sort. Contact Rick Ward at (918) 684-7026 or (918) 682-2581.

The Sooner Barrel Racing Association will have a barrel race Saturday at the Stuckey’s Arena in Beggs. Exhibitions start at 6 p.m., race at 8 p.m. PeeWee entry fee is $13, youth $18 and open $26. You may text pre-entries Monday-Thursday the week of the race to Charlotte Murphy (918) 625-9747.

The Jim Shoulders Spring Round-Up Rodeo will be held Friday and Saturday in Henryetta at the Jim Shoulders Living Legends Rodeo Arena. The 16-time World Champion cowboy, Jim Shoulders, made his home in Henryetta. Mutton Busting starts at 7:15 p.m., performance at 8 p.m. with all the traditional rodeo events.

The Rangeline Arena in Warner is having a team roping jackpot Friday. $40 entry fee per roper. Books open at 6:30 p.m., rope at 7:30 p.m. They are also having a roping Saturday, for details and future events go to facebook-.com/rangeline.arena or call Rick at (918) 557-9951.

The 2nd Annual Saturday Showdown Added Money Roping will be held at the Billy Carter Arena at noon in Tulsa noon. Ladies Breakaway (Boys 14 and under), 3 for $80. B Roping (No. 12, No. 11), three for $100. Open Roping (No. 10, No. 9), 3 for $130. Concession on grounds, bring your own lawn chairs. God’s Country Cowboy Church will have a Youth Ranch Rodeo Saturday at the Talihina Rodeo Arena. Two age divisions, 0-5 and 6-12. Enter by 8:45 a.m., starts at 9 a.m. $10 per run, teams are drawn, 100 percent payback. Buckles to the champion team in each age division. Contact Pastor T.J. Martin at (918) 413-5894.

The 19th Annual Juneteenth Rodeo will be held on Saturday at the Tulsa RV Ranch in Beggs. Tailgate party starts at 4:30 p.m. For ticket information call the arena office at (918) 267-9000.

The Big Horn Rodeo Company will have a rodeo at the Checotah Round-Up Club Arena Friday and Saturday. Entry fees must be paid by 7:30 p.m., rodeo starts at 8 p.m. Mutton Busting (6 and under) and Calf Riding (8 and under) before the rodeo at 7 p.m. Contact Kyle Robison at (405) 380-8404.

The barrel racing series continues June 17 at the Checotah Round Up Club Arena. Exhibitions 5:30 p.m., race 8 p.m. Youth entry fee $15, open $30 plus a $5 barn fee for each rider. Contact Brittany Rahm at (785) 207-5031.
