Calling all horse dentists

Spring will be here before we know it and with that come spring fever to ride our horses on the trails, at events, etc. Have you thought about having your horses teeth floated? If it has been over a year since you have had your horse’s teeth properly floated it’s probably time, no matter the age of the horse.

A horse’s teeth grow continually and can sometimes not wear evenly. Some common signs a horse is in need of teeth floating and balancing are dropping their feed, weight loss, head tossing, posting against the bit, biting the bit, turning one direction better than the other, mouth and/or face shy, even to the light touch, prone to colic or foul mouth odor.

I recently had a local certified equine dentist come to my farm to float all of our horses. Yes, all of them, even the ones that were not showing any signs still needed their teeth floated. This is such a piece of mind they are not hurting and are ready for this riding season!
