— The Bacone Warriors and Lady Warriors fell short on Tuesday night against Huston-Tillotson in the Palmer Center.
The Lady Warriors trailed by as much as 26 points in the second half before rallying to trail only by 10 at 71-61 with 9:59 remaining in the game.
That would be as close as Bacone would get as they fell 103-93 to the Lady Rams.
On the night the Lady Warriors knocked down 51 percent (32-of-62) but went 21-for-37 at the charity stripe and committed 27 turnovers.
Dametria Dawson led Bacone (6-13, 3-9) in scoring with 29, Kayla Denton added 25 and Mariah Sweeney finished with 11; Myriah Hadnot posted a double-double of 18 and 14.
On the men’s side the Warriors never got going offensively, falling 69-49 to the Rams.
Bacone trailed 35-24 at halftime and Huston-Tillotson led by as much as 26 points in the second half.
For the game Bacone hit 27 percent (17-of-61) while converting nine-of-28 three-point attempts with 21 turnovers.
Geo Brewer led the Warriors (9-14, 6-6) in scoring with 11 and Matt Qualls registered 12 rebounds.
Both squads will host the University of the Southwest on Thursday.
