CLASS 3A AREA IV
SEQUOYAH 58 (BOYS), KEYS 40 – The Class 3A No. 5 Indians got out to an early lead and never looked back, building a 34-13 lead at the half and controlling the second half. BJ Leach led the way for Sequoyah with 16 points and Elijah Tucker had 14. Zach Parish pitched in nine points. Sequoyah (20-3) goes to Heavener to play Idabel at 8 p.m. on Thursday.
SEQUOYAH 59, KEYS 41 (GIRLS) – The Class 3A No. 5 Lady Indians cruised to victory, but lose the teams’ leading scorer, Audrey Ballou, for the season with an ACL injury. Johnette Cookson led the Sequoyah attack with 15 and freshman Cenia Hayes added 12. Taylor O’Donell and Ali Nolan each scored 13 points for Keys (9-10). Sequoyah (22-1) kicks off regionals against Antlers in Wilburton at 6:30 p.m. Thursday.
CLASS 2A AREA II
KIEFER 60, HULBERT 45 (BOYS) – Hulbert led after the first quarter 14-8, but found themselves trailing at the half, 25-20. A 21-10 third quarter run by Kiefer put the game out of reach. Mason Fielden led the Riders with 13 points and Rico Wynn added 10. Hulbert (18-8) goes into regional consolation play Thursday.
KIEFER 59, HULBERT 51 (GIRLS) – Tina Buford knocked down 15 points and Tiffany Thompson and Megan Cox each scored 12 in the loss for the Lady Riders. Hulbert (15-10) was outscored in every quarter except the second. Hulbert moves into regional consolation play Thursday.
PRESTON 78, WARNER 39 (GIRLS) – The Lady Eagles found themselves in an early hole, down 37-11 at the half, and never made it out. Raven Girty had a team-high 12 points. Three other Lady Eagles finished up with five points. Danielle Hawkins and Chelsea Dungee led the Preston attack with 14 each. Warner (17-8) plays Hartshorne at Quinton at 1:30 p.m. Thursday.
CLASS A AREA II
KREMLIN-HILLSDALE 52, PORUM 44 (GIRLS) – The Lady Panthers tied the game at 42 with under 10 seconds to play and forced overtime, where a 10-2 Kremlin-Hillsdale run proved to be too much. Katie McCullar scored 12 for Porum, which finishes up its season at 20-7.
CLASS A AREA IV
WEBBERS FALLS 47, DEWAR 43 (GIRLS) – The Lady Warriors pulled off a close one. A 3-point shot by Cammie Farrar at the end of the third propelled a fourth-quarter run. Farrar finished up with 11. Cheyenne McGuire and Autumn Cato both knocked down 17 for Webbers Falls (14-12), which plays Allen, a 47-29 loser to Caddo, at Durant at 6:30 p.m. Thursday.
