FORT GIBSON 9, JAY 2 – Madison Higley and the Lady Tigers moved to 28-4 on the season as Fort Gibson increased its win streak to 14 games. Higley went the distance, giving up one earned run on four hits. Sage Stout went 2-for-2 with a triple, two runs scored and two RBIs while Brea Jordan went 2-for-3 with two RBIs and Kelsey Hornback went 2-for-4 with two RBIs. The Lady Tigers are back on the field at 4:30 p.m. Monday at home against Sequoyah.
SEQUOYAH 12, HASKELL 0 – Sequoyah’s Kati Phillips and Taylor Owl combined on a no-hitter against the Lady Haymakers. The Lady Indians moved to 26-6 on the year. Kelsey Leach led off the game with a home run while Symphoni Shomo hit a grand slam in the second. Baylee Ratliff went 3-for-3 with three runs scored and three RBIs while Rain Thompson was 2-for-2 with two RBIs.
TAHLEQUAH 5, COLLINSVILLE 4 – The Lady Tigers moved to 28-2 on the season and Morgan Torrance kept her record perfect at 14-0. Torrance threw five innings, striking out six and giving up one earned run on three hits. Caitlin Chuculate and Randee O’Donnell were 2-for-3, O’Donnell had a home run and two RBIs and a walk-off single to win the game. The Lady Tigers are back in action at 5 p.m. on Thursday against Claremore.
WARNER 4, EUFAULA 2 – The Lady Eagles moved to 18-7 on the season as they got past the Lady Ironheads. (3-21) Cheyenne Miller got the win going three innings and giving up one earned run on four hits. Tatum Elders went 3-for-3, while Miller was 1-for-3 with a double, one run scored and two RBIs.
Rachel Singleton (1-14) took the loss for the Eufaula. Singleton went six innings, striking out eight and gave up just two earned runs on four hits. Singleton also went 3-for-3 with a double and an RBI. Warner takes on Hulbert at 1:30 p.m. Thursday while Eufaula travels to Holdenville at 4 p.m. on Thursday.
MULDROW 11, STIGLER 3 – The Lady Panthers fall to 13-9 and Laura Hulsey’s record drops to 12-9 on the season. Hulsey went five innings giving up seven earned runs on 10 hits. Bailey Wilson, Nina Echelle and Emily Wright were all 1-for-3 for Stigler. The Lady Panthers are back in action at 4 p.m. Thursday at Vian.
VIAN 12, STILWELL 7 – Jordan Sovo (1-2) got her first win of the season as she went seven innings striking out five and gave up four earned runs on seven hits. The Lady Wolverines move to 11-19 on the season. Brooke Barton went 3-for-4 and Addison Elbon went 2-for-5.
CLASS A DISTRICT PLAYOFFS
PORUM 5, QUINTON 4 – Katie McCullar got the win going seven innings striking out 10 and giving up three earned runs on six hits in eliminating Quinton who lost to Keota 2-1 in the first game. McCullar, Carly Anderson and Shelby Smith all went 2-for-3 for the Lady Panthers.
PORUM 7, KEOTA 6 – McCullar put Porum in the driver’s seat for the district championship, going the distance striking out 12 and giving up three earned runs on six hits. Anderson, McCullar, Smith and Kylie Powell all went 2-for-3. The Lady Panthers will face Keota at 1 p.m. Thursday needing one win for the district title.
MUSKOGEE 3, SAPULPA 0 – The Lady Roughers improved to 16-9 on the season. They won their match with scores of 25-13, 25-15 and 25-12. Claire Farmer had 17 kills nine digs and four aces. Jensen Martin had 25 assists, five digs and seven aces while Donna Logan had seven kills. Muskogee takes the court again at 10 a.m. Friday against Putnam City West in the Norman Tournament.
TAHLEQUAH 3, BISHOP KELLY 0 – The Class 5A No. 7 ranked Lady Tigers moved to 28-7 on the season. Scores in the match were 25-15, 25-17 and 25-13. Amanda Milnick had 12 kills and four blocks while Jillian Tinnin had 10 kills and five aces. Tahlequah is back in action at 6 p.m. Thursday at Okay.
WAGONER 3, CHOUTEAU 0 – The Lady Bulldogs moved to 11-6 on the year as they won with scores of 25-11, 25-9 and 25-9. Bailee Thomas had three aces, and added two kills. Skylar Bruce had eight assists. Wagoner will next face Sequoyah at home at 6 p.m. Thursday.
SEQUOYAH 3, OKAY 0 – The 4A No. 4 ranked Lady Indians moved to 26-5 on the season. Sequoyah won with scores of 25-9, 25-15 and 25-17. Audrey Ballou had six kills and four aces. Eva Hooper had 13 assists and one ace.
CLAREMORE 3, HULBERT 0 – Hulbert fell with scores of 25-14, 25-18 and 25-21. No player stats available at press time.
WAGONER DOGWOOD CLASSIC — Owasso swept the team titles, but several area runners and teams fared well Tuesday.
Wagoner’s boys, led by Adam Martin’s 18 minutes, 11 seconds effort over 5,000 meters, took third and Fort Gibson was fourth in the 10-team field. Individually, Cole Montgomery of Eufaula was third (17:01) and Coleman Crawley of Fort Gibson sixth (17:27) in the individual standings. Sallisaw’s Zach Black turned in the top time (16:59).
Warner’s girls were second and Keys was fifth among 14 teams.
Mykala Rich of Vian was third overall in 12:53 for 2 miles. Stilwell’s Sydney Lawrence won in 11:40. Eufaula’s Madison Newton was fifth in 13:01 and Kaylie Kilpatrick of Warner was eighth in 13:20.
