FORT GIBSON GRABS TWO – The Lady Tigers won both games on Friday, run-ruling Salina 13-3 before beating Stillwell 11-10.
In the first game, Sage Stout led Fort Gibson (3-1) going 4-for-4 with two doubles, five runs batted in and two runs scored. Miranda Cherry, Kelsey Hornback. And Sydney Cherry all went 2-for-3.
Game two saw the Lady Tigers win in the bottom of the fourth on a walk-off. 3-run double by Cherrry.
Amber Morgan got the win in the circle in both games.
LADY ROUGHERS PLAY THREE – At Moore, in Big Cat Classic, the Class 6A No. 3 Roughers run-ruled Class 4A No. 4 Dale 15-5 in four innings.
Aubrey Johnson was a perfect 4-for-4 with four RBIs and Dee Emarthle went 2-for-3 with a solo blast, her second of the season. Shaylee Robinson was the winning pitcher.
Game two saw the Lady Roughers fall to Class 6A No. 4 host Moore 17-5. Rowland picked up her first loss on the season. Emarthle was 2-for-2 with a double and RBI, and Nia Maxwell was 1-for-1 with three RBIs on a two-run single and sac fly.
In the finale of the day, the Lady Roughers went 10 innings with Class 6A No. 5 Union. Rowland (8-1) went all 10 innings. She also went 2-for-2 from the plate with her third long ball of the season, Johnson was 4-for-6 and scored three runs. Muskogee (8-2) plays Norman at 9:30 a.m. and then faces Tahlequah at 3 p.m. today.
OKTAHA TOURNAMENT – The host Lady Tigers split their two games on Friday, falling to Heavener 14-6 in the first game before dropping one to Hulbert 12-4 as the game was called after four innings because of the hail storm. Kelsey Cantwell was 4-for-6 on the day with five RBIs and one home run, her first of the season while Kallee King was 2-for-6 with five RBIs and two home runs, her fifth and sixth of the year, with Sierra Elam going 3-for-4 in the first game and Caitlin Sikes going 2-for-3 with an RBI in game two.
Warner took two of three in Friday’s action, dropping the first game to Haskell 7-3 and winning the third game over Union JV 10-1. The results against Pocola were unavailable as of press time. Triston Potts had three home runs on the day for the Lady Eagles (6-5).
Hulbert (4-5) lost to Sallisaw 7-2 in another game reported.
RAINOUTS — Hulbert was rained out and has no make-up date as of yet....Braggs was postponed due to inclement weather with no make-up date.
