NORMAN REGIONAL — At the NCAA Norman Regional being palyed at Jimmie Austin Golf Club, Oklahoma is sixth overall at 287 with four in the top 20. Texas and Florida State share the lead at 9-under 279.

Texas’ Jordan Spieth, the top-ranked collegiate golfer, shot 6-under 66 to lead the field. Riley Pumphrey is five shots back with a 71 and three other Sooners are at 72 — Abraham Ancer, Will Kropp and Michael Schoolcraft.

ANN ARBOR REGIONAL — Oklahoma State’s men’s golf team carded a 290 during the first round of action at the NCAA Ann Arbor Regional on Thursday to stand in a tie for seventh place at the University of Michigan Golf Course.

 The Cowboys wrapped up the day tied with North Carolina State at 6-over par at the par-71, 6,723-yard layout. Kent State is four shots ahead at 286, followed by TCU at 278.

Three players shared the individual lead with TCU’s Julien Brun, Baylor’s Joakim Mikkelsen and USC’s Anthony Paolucci all carding 4-under 67s. Patrick Winther posted the Cowboys’ low round of the day at 1-under 70.

GREENSBORO (N.C.) REGIONAL — Tulsa shot a 5-over 193 and is in a tie for third place at the NCAA Greenboro (N.C.) Regional being played at the Grandover Resort East Course, 10 strokes behind Liberty (283).UNLV is tied with the Hurricane, five strokes behind second-place SMU.

John Young Kim shot 69 and leads the TU charge. He’s 3-under and tied for second, two shots behind Matt Schovee of SMU. Matt Mabrey shot 1-over 73 and is tied for 15th.
