College baseball roundup, schedule

NSU 6-6, WASHBURN 3-4 —  David Weber had three hits, drove in two runs and Kyle Singleton hit his third home run of the season in the first game as part of the RiverHawks’ sweep. Hayden Walch (3-3) was the winning pitcher as the twinbill was moved to  Emporia State’s home filed after Wasburn’s park was unplayable.

In the nightcap, NSU (14-13, 14-13) scored five runs in the seventh and seized control of the game as Keegan Knight drove in four runs and Tyler Wilkins scored twice. T.J. Foster (1-0) got the win and Trevor Walch earned his second save of the day.

The two teams are scheduled to complete the series at noon today in Topeka, Kan.

BACONE 3-11, JARVIS CHRISTIAN 2-7 — A bases loaded walk in the 10th inning scored Anthony Villela to help the Warriors win the first game as part of the Red River Athletic Conference doubleheader sweep in Hawkins, Texas. Tim HIll (7-2) was the winning pitcher and Jesse Fish earned his third save.

In the nightcap, Anthony Seabolt had three hits and scored three runs. Villela singled three times and Tony Mendez had two hits and drove in four runs. Matt Durbin (3-0) was the winning pitcher. Bacone improves to 27-9 overall and 15-1 in the conference, while Jarvis drops to 22-17 and 9-8.

The two teams play again at noon today.

OU 2, KANSAS 1 — Playing in Norman, freshman outfielder Hunter Haley tagged up and scored on a sacrifice fly by junior infielder Matt Oberste to push the No. 11-ranked University of Oklahoma baseball to the win in 10 innings over Kansas Friday at L. Dale Mitchell Park, marking OU's 13th straight win and fourth victory in extras in the last eight games.

The triumph over the Jayhawks (14-10, 2-3 Big 12) lifted the Sooners (25-4, 5-0 Big 12) to their second straight Big 12 series victory to open conference play. OU (25-4) is off to its first 5-0 conference start since 1993 and earned its seventh walk-off win of the season.
