Labor Day weekend rings in results

Rangeline Arena had their saddle roping last Saturday and the high-point Roper and winner of the saddle was Ron Blackwell! The average winners were Chris Brumley and Bubba Watson and incentive winners, Shane Ross and Jaxson McAlvain.

Hilltop Arena’s Labor Day barrel race was a success with 222 barrel racers competing. The winner of the PeeWee age group was Maggie Passmore, Payton Zodrow won the 2D and Jake Dolan won the 3D. Ginger Cohea won the Youth division, Kaia Mansker won the 2D and Gracie Smith won the 3D. The fastest time of the night was Peyton Patrick’s 14.508, Kate Kelley won the 2D, Tammy Phillipo won the 3D, Cooper Mangum won the 4D and Sonja Maher won the 5D!

Three Rivers Cowboy Church will be having a 5D barrel race Friday night at 8p.m. Open $25.00. Exhibitions are $3 and start at 6:30p.m. Contact Vicki Beene at (405) 826-5531.

Jeffries Productions had their first barrel race this week of their 10-week series. Toni Kay Ferguson had the fastest time of the night with a 15.924, Nydeary Fullbright won the 2D, Michelle West won the 3D and Diane Guinne won the 4D.

Points will be accumulated with awards being given to the top 10 high points over all the series. There is a $10 nomination fee. Exhibitions are $10 and will start at 6 p.m. at $4 each or three for $10. Jackpot starts at 8pm and the entry fee is $25 plus a $2 building fee. Contact Linda Jeffries at (918) 329-6776.

Equine Speed Productions has had two barrel races at Coweta. Last Thursday night Jaci Moore won the PeeWees with a 17.039, Afton Becker won the 2D and Kelsey Penderson won the 3D. For the second week Yanna Fullbright won the Youth with a 16.018, Evy Becker won the 2D and Ashley Pierce won the 3D. There were 77 in the Open division and Miranda Ray won it again with a 15.776! Perryetta Metzger won the 2D, Lindsay Penderson won the 3D and Tammy Brown won the 4D.

This six-week “Watch the Money Grow” series has almost $1,000 in added money for the finals. The Open 4D has a $30 entry fee. Youth, $20 and PeeWees, $15 entry fee. In each division $5 will go towards the added money on the finals night. There is no nomination fee, attend four of the first six and you qualify for the finals! Broken Arrow continues their 21st year of fall barrel racing with a five-eek barrel and pole bending series. Last week, Claire Hodges won the poles with a 22.320, Lydia McGee placed second and Jessica Havener placed third. Jessica Klassen won the barrel race with a 18.100, Allison Arnold won the 2D, CeeAnna Munoz won the 3D and Rebecca Isbell won the 4D.

To qualify for awards and the added money the final night you must attend three of the first four nights. Barrel exhibitions start at 6 p.m. and are $4 each. Poles will be run as a straight jackpot and will begin at 8 p.m. with a $20 entry fee and the Open 4D barrel jackpot will follow, entry fee is $25 with equal payouts.
