CLASS A DISTRICTS at Okay – Okay run-ruled its way to a pair of wins. The Mustangs defeated Summit Christian 12-4 in five innings and took out Watts in three innings, 16-4. Against Summit, Zac Cagle (3-1) went four innings allowing three hits and striking out seven. Caleb Riggs went 2-for-3 with a pair of RBIs and Jake Cowden was 1-for-3 with an RBI.
Against Watts, Jake Cowden (1-1) allowed a pair of earned runs on two hits, and sat down six on strikes. Darius Riggs went 2-for-3 with three RBIs and Coleman Harris was 2-for-3, driving in a pair.
Okay gets Watts today at 1 p.m. and are one win away from advancing to regionals
CLASS B DISTRICTS at Oaks – The Braggs Wildcats split a pair with Peyton York (8-3) tossing a no-no in game one against Cave Springs en route to a four inning run rule, 13-0. York struck out 11 of the 13 batters he faced and went 1-for-3 from the plate with three RBIs.
Game two against Oaks saw York on the mound again. York went all seven innings, allowing no earned runs on just two hits, but the defense made some costly errors and the Wildcats fell, 3-2.
Braggs (10-11) will see Oaks again today and must defeat them twice to advance to regionals.
OKMULGEE TOURNAMENT — Checotah beat Beggs JV 12-0 behind Caleb Knight’s three-inning no-hitter, striking out seven. Knight moved to 6-0 on the year. Wyatt Hatridge went 3-for-3 with a triple and three RBIs. Jack Christian was 2-for-3 with two runs and two RBIs. Checotah gets Glenpool at 4 p.m. today. Warner lost to Glenpool 9-1 and fell into the loser’s bracket today.
EUFAULA 14, WILBURTON 3 – Colin Walch (5-2) went four innings allowing just one earned run on three hits and striking out five. Walch was 3-for-4 from the plate with three steals and Trey Moore was 3-for-4 with six RBIs. The Class 3A No. 7 Ironheads (20-7) travel to Stuart at 4 p.m. Monday.
