WARNER 9, BRAGGS 1 — Levi Jones lost a five-inning no-hit bid for Warner (1-0) with a one-out single by Braggs’ Walter Hanson.

The Eagles had a four-run fourth led by Tim Smithson’s two-run double who finished with four RBIs on the day. Kayden Hammons had two hits and three RBIs.

TULSA UNION 7, TAHLEQUAH 0 – The Tahlequah Tigers managed only six hits and stranded 10 runners on base in the loss on Friday.

Houston Glad started and took the loss, going four innings and giving up five runs with four strikeouts.

WAGONER 7, VINITA 0 – Wagoner’s Bradley Green struck out six and walked two in four innings to lead the Bulldogs to the win.

Dylan Cantrell was 2-for-3 with three RBIs and two runs scored to pace Wagoner while Wyat Grooms was 1-for-3 with two RBIs.

The Bulldogs return to action today with a game against Checotah at noon and Claremore Sequoyah at 5 p.m.


MUSKOGEE 3, CATOOSA 2 – The Muskogee boys defeated Catoosa in a shootout on Friday in their season openeer.

Luis Ruiz got the win in goal as he turned away seven Catoosa shots. Ramon Gutierrez scored the Roughers’ first goal on a penalty kick in the 38th minute while Cesar Sanchez took a pass from Ernesto Martinez and banged home a shot in the 42nd minute.


MUSKOGEE SWEEPS — The Lady Roughers cruised in a season-opening three way at Rougherettes Park.

Jessi Venable’s three-run home run in a 2-for-2 game was the big blow for the Lady Roughers in a 12-1 win against Hulbert. Hannah Alexander, Dee Dee Emarthle and Morgan Taylor all had two hits each.

Muskogee then beat Locust Grove 16-0. Shaylee Rowland and Nia Maxwell each hit two-run home runs. Carlee Gann and Aubry Johnson each had two hits, both of Johnson’s were two-base shots.

Locust Grove beat Hulbert 10-1 in the other part of the three-way.

Muskogee (2-0) plays host to Warner on Tuesday.
