MUSKOGEE AT JENKS TOURNAMENT — Conner Finerty finished second in No. 1 singles and Shan Bradley third in No. 2 singles for Muskogee at the Jenks Invitational on Friday.

Finerty won three matches in straight sets then lost in the finals to Nate Roper of Edmond North on an injury default, down 6-2, 3-0, Finerty “tweaked an ankle” but will be OK, according to Muskogee coach Rusty Bradley.

Shan Bradley went 3-1, losing in the semifinals to Grant Bond of Jenks 6-3, 6-1 but got third on an injury default by Brian Lilley of Edmond North. Stephen Crank and Seth Chapius were 11th in No. 1 doubles.  The No. 2 doubles of Ryan Pierce and Colin Watson did not place.

“Cold day,” the MHS coach said. “I thought our singles played well for the little practice they’d had and the doubles just need to mature more,”
