WARNER – Connors State point guard Hakeem Harris has signed a national letter of intent to play at Seton Hall.
A New York native who grew up in Bergenfield, N.J., who initially committed to Brown University, out of high school, Harris averaged 12.4 points and 3.0 assists last season at Connors, where he started 27 of 30 games in helping the Cowboys to a 24-9 record and a NJCAA national tournament appearance in Hutchinson, Kan.
Harris is the second member of his family to graduate from Connors and move on to a Division I school. Hakeem’s brother (Frank) played for Muse and the Cowboys 21 years ago before transferring to Stanford.
