DAYTONA BEACH, Fla. – The Northeastern State women’s golf team is set to compete at the 2013 NCAA Division II Championships today through Saturday on the Legends Course at LPGA International.
The RiverHawks will be making their seventh appearance in the national finals and the first since 2007. The seven appearances are tied for fifth-most in NCAA Division II history and are the most of any team participating at this year’s championship.
Northeastern State will also be looking to best its best finish of third, which came in 2000.
NSU’s squad consists of seniors Whitney McAteer and Kelsey Kirkpatrick, sophomore Alex Koch, and freshmen McCandren Lewis and Kayla Schroeder.
The RiverHawks will tee off in the first round at 7:50 a.m. on the first hole, and they will begin the second round at 8:20 a.m. on the back nine.
