MRUC has several events in the near future

The Muskogee Round Up Club has several events coming up.

Their eight-week barrel racing series continues tonight. Five dollars of each entry fee will go toward the added money finals. Exhibitions are at 6 p.m., race 8 p.m. Youth entry fee $17  (12 and under), Open entry fee $30. No nomination fee, to qualify for the finals you must compete at six of eighth races. If there are more than 50 entries, a 5D incentive will be paid (one place equaling $25). Contact Rhonda Stewart at (918) 869-1498.

The MRUC will have two make-up playdays the next two Saturdays. Barrel racing exhibitions are at 5:30 p.m., leadline 6:30 p.m. The rest of the age groups/classes to follow. Entry fees are $5 per class with a one-time $5 nomination fee for year-end awards. You don’t have to be nominated to run. Contact Kenneth Burnes at (918) 441-0067.

Finally, it’s Western Trade Days  starting at 7 a.m. Sunday. Anyone wanting to sell western related items is invited to take part, rental spots going for $10 each. Bring your own tables and supply your own electricity if needed. You may bring your own horse and ride their extreme trail; it is ready to go and a whole lot of fun for you and your horse. The Cher-O-Dair Shriner’s Championship Rodeo will be held Friday and Saturday in Tahlequah. Performances start at 8 p.m. nightly. This rodeo is an ACRA and CRRA sanctioned rodeo, locals accepted. Rolling B/David Bailey Rodeo Company are the stock contractors. Call (918) 458-5782.

The Northeast Junior Rodeo Association will have a rodeo Friday and Saturday at the Kellyville Round Up Club Arena. Performances start at 8 p.m. nightly. FMI call (405)742-0791.

The Loose Rowel Rodeo Company will have a rodeo Friday and Saturday at the Inola Round Up Club Arena. Performances start at 8 p.m. nightly and mutton busting at 7:15 p.m. Call George Bowman at (918) 637-3819.

Rangeline Arena in Warner has a team roping jackpot every Tuesday evening, practice from 6 -7:30 p.m., $20 per horse. #12 slide jackpot roping at 8 p.m. Pick one draw two or draw all 3, $60 per roper. For details and future events go to facebook.com/rangeline.arena or call Rick at (918) 557-9951.

Lain Productions continues a buckle series barrel race tonight at the Tulsa RV Ranch in Beggs. The 4D open entry fee is $25, youth $15 and peewee $10, $7 processing fee per rider excluding peewees. Exhibitions 6 p.m., race 8 p.m. Debbie Lain (918)946-8841.

Hamilton’s Sports Arena in Vian has canceled its barrel races on Friday.

Owasso Round Up Club is having a $2,000 added money 4D barrel race Saturday. Exhibitions at 11 a.m., race at 1 p.m. Entry fee is $30 plus a $5 processing fee per horse, may enter until the 100th horse runs. Paint horse incentive sidepot, $20 entry fee. Contact Misty at (918) 694-3916.
