Man found slain in Chandler motel was Texan

— CHANDLER (AP) — Police in Chandler have identified a body found in a motel room as that of an Odessa, Texas, man.

Police Chief Matt Mattheyer told KWTV that the body of Sam Amon Brock, 41, was found Friday morning at the Lincoln Motel and that two suspects have been arrested. Online court records do not show that any charges have been filed.

Lincoln County District Attorney Richard Smothermon said Friday that Brock had blunt trauma to the head and a knife wound.

The police chief said Brock was found by the motel manager who went to check on him after he failed to check out on time.
