Choctaw author to make appearance at UCO

EDMOND (AP) — An award-winning Native American author is scheduled to take part in a reading and signing at the University of Central Oklahoma this month.

LeAnne Howe, a member of the Choctaw Nation, is the author of the memoir "Choctalking on Other Realities." Howe is also a professor of American Indian studies and English at the University of Chicago at Urbana-Champaign.

She'll be at the school at 7:30 p.m. March 11 to sign copies and answer questions about the book
