WAYNOKA (AP) — Officials say a Burlington Northern Santa Fe train hauling beer and other consumer goods derailed near Waynoka.
The train left the track about 7:30 a.m. Sunday, northeast of the town. Oklahoma City television station KWTV reported that the train was bound for Los Angeles.
Authorities say the train was going 56 mph. The speed limit on the stretch of track is 60 mph.
Beer and soda cans tumbled out when 40 containers from the train left the track.
