One dead, one arrested after house fire

MARBLE CITY (AP) — Sequoyah County authorities say one man is dead and one is in custody following a house fire in Marble City.

Investigators told KHOG that the victim was found inside the burned home Saturday after firefighters extinguished the flames and that evidence led them to suspect foul play.

Authorities say the suspect also lived in the home and was arrested Saturday night.

The dead man's name was not immediately released. A suspected cause of death was not released and the dead man's body was sent to the state medical examiner's office in Oklahoma City.

Online court records do not show that formal charges have been filed
